A short film made with three women that experienced English as their second language: Romi, Iris and Justina. It’s about language: its sound, movement, play and our favourite words. It explores the omissions and multiplicities of translation and how our use of language, our closeness/distance to it, are inseparable from our sense of self.
The title is the literal translation of the French expression 'avoir des haut-le-cœur', which means 'to feel nauseous'.
